Most icon sets are drawn on a grid because a grid is what makes a set feel like a set. Hand-drawn sets tend to go the other way: charming, and inconsistent by the fiftieth icon.
Consistency and character are usually opposed
The whole problem is that "hand-drawn" and "systematic" pull against each other, and at 1,744 icons the drift compounds until the set stops looking deliberate and starts looking sloppy. Drawing them by hand wasn't an option. Nor was faking the look with a filter, which reads as noise rather than as a pen.
So every icon is redrawn by a deterministic ink engine — each stroke gets the wobble and pressure variation of a real pen, but derived rather than improvised. The same input always produces the same icon. Character without drift.
Five weights, one system
Thin through bold behave as you'd expect. The fifth is a hatched fill rather than a solid one, because a solid fill on a pen-drawn shape looks printed — the hatch is what the drawn version of "filled" actually looks like.
Everything ships as currentColor SVG on a 256×256 viewBox, and as React components on npm.
